Terratinta Group has become a Benefit Company, becoming one of the companies that, by modifying their statutes, have proactively embraced the principles of eco-sustainability. The environmental breakthrough began with the “Change” project at the end of 2019: a series of actions aimed at a drastic reduction of the environmental impact of production, strengthening the company’s policy in this regard. Among other things, the commitment was demonstrated by the choice to use only 100% green electricity and gas.
The change in statute, and the various initiatives carried out, lead to a joint action that aims at the B Corp certification, a certificate spread in 71 countries and covering 150 sectors, a sign of the strong will to develop an evolved business concept, going beyond profit through innovation, with the aim of improving the community, the environment and relationships with employees and stakeholders. Among the planned activities, in the last days of November was held the first Community Day organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Fiorano Modenese, where Terratinta Group is located. The Municipality assigned Deledda Park to Terratinta for a day of cleaning, and some members of the Terratinta Group team spent the morning of Thursday, November 5 between rakes and dry leaves, also taking care of disinfecting the recreation ground of the park. “With a minimum effort – says CEO Luca Migliorini – we can achieve great results towards the environment. Every company should begin to engage in this sense: taking care of the territory in which we live is healthy for ourselves and for our children. This morning our Company was regularly open, but at the same time made donating some of our working hours to this job we gave a tangible contribution to environmental care. I hope it will be an example for many other realities”. “We are deeply grateful – continues Council member Monica Lusetti – for Terratinta Group choice to devote their time to help keeping clean a public space of our city; the environment is a theme that is very close to our hearts. I agree with the plea launched by Luca Migliorini: all of us, citizens and businesses, can try to emulate the example of care for the territory, it will benefit us and the generations of tomorrow”.
